I like most of what gets played on alternative rock radio (well I guess I should call it "new rock" radio, it's hardly alternative anymore). Sigur Ros is probably my favorite band. Coheed and Cambria's "Second Stage Turbine Blade" is possibly the best rock album ever made.
Recently, at the suggestion of a friend, I have been starting to listen to classical music. Downloaded Beethoven's Ninth. If Beethoven had been born in the twentieth century, he would have played electric guitar.
Movies:
I like indie films, foreign films, anything good but off-center, prefer comedies and fantasy/sci-fi themes. Favorites include the LOTR trilogy, Pan's Labyrinth, Mirror Mask, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Final Fantasy - Advent Children, the Watchmen, Magnolia, Boondock Saints, Vanilla Sky, Children of Men, Pi, Dogma, Pineapple Express, Harold and Kumar, Idiocracy, Superbad, Let's Go To Prison, many more. Just saw Eragon, it was cute! And I can't wait for the live action Cowboy Bebop movie!!

Currently reading "Dune". The first time I picked it up it didn't grab me, but now I'm getting into it.
