In life, many thoughts are born in the course of a moment, an hour, a day. Some are dreams, some visions. Often, we are unable to distinguish between them. To some, they are the same; however, not all dreams are visions. Much energy is lost in fanciful dreams that never bear fruit. But visions are messages from the Great Spirit, each for a different purpose in life. Consequently, one person's vision may not be that of another. To have a vision, one must be prepared to receive it, and when it comes, to accept it. Thus when these inner urges become reality, only then can visions be fulfilled. The spiritual side of life knows everyone's heart and who to trust. How could a vision ever be given to someone to harbor if that person could not be trusted to carry it out.
I don’t know what to say really, three minutes to the biggest battle of our lives, all comes down today. Either with heal as a team or we are going to crumb, inch by inch play by play. We are in hell gentleman, believe me.
We can either get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back. In the light, we can climb out of hell; one inch at the time.
Now I can’t do it for you, I’m too old.
I look around and see all of these faces. I made all the wrong choices, I pissed away all of my money, chased off the only ones that love me and lately I cant even stand the face in the mirror.
You know when you get old in life things get taken from you, that’s part of life. You only learn that when you start loosing shit. You learn life is a game of inches, just like football.
Just like football, the margin of error is so small, I mean one half a step too late, or too early and you don’t quiet make it. One half second too slow or too fast you don’t quiet catch it.
The inches we need are everywhere around us. They are in every break of the game of every minute, every second.
On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch.
Cause we know, when we add up all of those inches, That’s going to make the fucking difference between winning and loosing, between living and dying.
I’ll tell you this. In any fight, the guy that is willing to die, is going to win that inch. I know that if I’m going to have any life anymore its cause I’m still willing to fight and die for that inch. ‘Cause that’s what living is!
The six inches in front of you face. I can’t make you do it. You have to look at the guy next to you; you have to look into his eyes. Now I think you will see that guy will go that inch with you. You will see a guy that will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows when it comes down to it, you are going to do the same for him.
That’s a team. Now either we heal as a team, or we will die as individuals. That’s football. That’s life, that’s all it is.
