ABOUT OUR FOUNDER:
I can think of no better way of describing our founder than to share with you the views of one of his colleagues, Jim92926. Jim, has served with Marine2k8_BOA and the words below are taken from the speech Jim prepared for the promotional party of Josh to a Major. -
"I want to first of all thank everyone for coming. It means a lot to me and Josh.
Your support for the men and women that service our military.
It doesn't matter what country you are from, we are all brothers and sisters in arms.
I would like to tell you of a special individual that has displayed on numerous time the following characteristics:
Valor, Courage, Integrity, Commitment, Sacrifice, love of country, compassion, love of his fellow soldier.
These are not just words to the man, it is a way of life.
He is very modest and would never tell the life he has lived, the men he has saved, and the life he has laid down, not just for me, but for everyone he comes into contact with.
Josh has been promoted to Major, in the United States Marine Corps. Winner of a Silver Star, awarded a Purple Heart 3 times,
multiple unit citations, Expert Marksman, Mountain Warfare,
HALO, Marine Survival, Evasion, Special Weapons,
and many more other specialties that I can not mention.
I am very honored to call Josh, Marine, fellow soldier, and my brother."
Congratulations Marine.

MISSION STATEMENT:
BOA stands for Brotherhood of Arms. It is a social support group for forces personnel, male and female, past and present, their families and friends in Utherverse. We welcome all nationalities, ranks and services, whether members of BOA or not. The group is here as a buddy system, where if you need help, whether technical, just a problem bothering you, or in need of someone to chat to you, there will always be a member on line.We are comrades in arms, friends, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, etc; that have come together for one aim, to help, support, laugh and cry together. To put aside the harshness and reality of the world we live in, and to actively help those that need it. We want members to have fun and enjoy the experience of being part of BOA and Utherverse.

The Marine stood and faced his God, which will always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, just as brightly as his brass. Step forward now you Marine, how shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek and to my church been true? The Marine squared his shoulders and said, “No, Lord, I guess I ain’t, Cause those of us who carry guns can’t always be a saint. I’ve had to work on Sundays and at times my talk was tough, And sometimes I’ve been violent cause the world is awfully rough. But I never took a penny that wasn’t mine to keep, Though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got too steep, And I passed a cry for help though at times I shook with fear, And sometimes, God, forgive me, I wept unmanly tears. I know I don’t deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fears. If you’ve a place for me here, Lord, it needn’t be so grand. I never asked or had too much. If you don’t, I’ll understand. There was silence all around the throne, where saints had often trod, As the Marine waited quietly for the judgment of his God. Step forward now, you Marine. You’ve borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on heaven’s streets. You’ve served your time in hell.
