About me:
"About Me" sections are probably the hardest profile sections to complete. I mean, can any of us actually be boiled down to a few lines of text? My first instinct here was to start off with my job title and the city where I live, but that information has already been entered elsewhere. I think Americans tend to identify themselves by their career first (if they have one), followed by where they live. If I were a psych major or some such, I might delve further into this illusion. I'd like to think that we are all more than the some of our occupation and location.
So who are we really? What makes me ME? I have no fucking idea really, and I think it may be the hardest thing to define. Maybe if I was a Tibetan monk and had dedicated my entire life to the pursuit of this knowledge, I'd have a better answer, but I doubt even they can really answer this question with any certainty.
So how about I tell you some of the things that I like instead? Oh wait, I guess that's what the Interests section is for really. Maybe this field should just be removed. I mean, most of what you'd put here already has a place somewhere else. Or maybe all of those fields should be removed and this should be the only field in a profile.
My head hurts... I'm going back to bed!
