I like rock, punk-rock, country, rap and R&B and some classical, I think music is one of the few things that god gave us to remind us that hope remains on the world, no matter what seems to happen, music always makes us feel either better or so we can endure whatever life throws at us.
Movies:
LotR of course, a lot of the 80's stuff and all the old Charlton Heston movies.
Books:
Anything by Tolkien, Dean Koontz's earlier novels, Margeret Wiess and Tracy Hickman made some wondrous collaborations, dragon lance novels, deathgate cycle, etc. And there is always new authors that amaze me, times are a changing :)
